Women Tech Awards to be held on Sept. 17

SALT LAKE CITYJuly 2, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Women Tech Council (WTC) will host its Seventh Annual Women Tech Awards Luncheon on Sept. 17, 2014, honoring 17 women in the technology field. The Tech Awards recognize technology-focused women who are driving innovation, leading technology companies, and are key contributors to the community. Sponsored by EY, USTAR, Wells Fargo, and MountainWest Capital Network, the event will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Grand America Hotel (555 S. Main in Salt Lake City).

Over the past seven years, WTC has been able to honor 110 women, 20 university students, and sponsored over 250 high school students for the awards, helping to inspire the next generation of STEM-focused students. Women Tech Council is thrilled to be able to support the education community in such a meaningful way.

From these 17 finalists, the award recipients will be announced at the awards luncheon on September 17. A selection committee from the technology industry, venture, government, and professional communities selected the finalists and will select the award recipients.

Tickets for the event are $75.00 for members and $85.00 for non-members. Premier tables for 10 guests are available for $750.00.  Tickets can be purchased online at womentechcouncil.org.
