Shari Mann

Shari Mann began her career as a co-op engineer for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) while she studied at the University of Texas. Graduating in 1991 with a BSEE, Shari launched her career in the semiconductor industry with engineering positions at Motorola Semiconductor, National Semiconductor, and Lattice Semiconductor over a 14 year period.

Shari remained in the semiconductor industry until 2005, when she accepted a design position at L-3 Communications (now L3Harris Technologies). At L-3, Shari’s career expanded into software, system design, and project engineering for broadband wireless communication systems for the Department of Defense.

Throughout Shari’s career, she has accepted leadership positions of all kinds including managing groups of design engineers, leading small project-based engineering teams, leading research and development efforts, and leading system engineering projects.

Today, Shari embraces her love of technology and remains on a technical leadership track. She is currently the Chief Engineer for an emerging family of L3Harris broadband communications products and was recently named an L3Harris Engineering Fellow. Shari is passionate about encouraging girls to pursue STEM careers and can be seen at various STEM events around the Salt Lake Valley

Outside of work, Shari and her family enjoy life in Utah where she hikes weekly, mountain bikes, skis, plays softball, and regularly organizes picnics in beautiful places with family and friends.
