Melanie Robinson is the CEO of WEBB, a virtual and live event production company delivering best-in-class attendee experiences throughout the world for groups ranging from 100 – 100,000 attendees. She enjoys the combination of creativity and technical savvy that this work requires and the team it attracts. When COVID hit, Robinson steered the company to a virtual offering and WEBB won new business while maintaining its existing client base during this challenging period. In 2021, live events of scale returned and WEBB is currently in a growth mode. Robinson recently led the company through an ESOP transaction, providing the founders a successful exit.
Prior to joining WEBB, Robinson served as CEO of Winder Farms, an online subscription grocery delivery service and beverage manufacturer, with multi-state coverage. Under her leadership, Winder Farms launched a new mobile app, a refreshed website, and a meal kit line. Robinson previously worked as VP of Operations at OrangeSoda, a national online marketing agency, and as Chief Operating Officer at CalFinder.com (now Modernize) an online lead generation company in the home improvement industry based in Austin, Texas.
At her roots, Robinson is a natural marketer, and understands how to transform traditional businesses to digital and e-commerce strategies. Her marketing and sales leadership experience extends across multiple industries (home remodeling, solar, food & grocery, hospitality, events), multiple marketing methods (SEO, SEM, Social) and multiple channels (inside and outside sales, events, e-commerce, mobile apps).
Ms. Robinson received her BA in Economics from Eckerd College, and her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. She has taught as an adjunct professor in Strategy & Marketing at the University of Utah and has served as a board advisor and board member. She lives in Salt Lake City with her husband and 8-year-old son and enjoys hiking, road biking, and snowboarding.
