Martyna Shallenberg is an accomplished healthcare technology leader who is passionate about driving innovation, fostering collaboration and achieving meaningful results. Throughout her 15-year career, she has pioneered personalized medicine solutions, managed startups through exponential growth and acquisitions, and expanded complex financial and technology solutions into international markets.
She is currently the Director of Software Engineering at Myriad Genetics where she leads a 23-person team responsible for implementing robust financial processes, optimizing billing systems and enhancing revenue cycle management strategies. She directs ongoing efforts to automate and streamline revenue cycle workflows in helping to provide genetic testing within the oncology, women’s health and mental health spaces.

It remains one of her favorite projects to this day.
Martyna is also very passionate about giving back. She actively participates in mentorship and outreach programs to provide guidance, share knowledge, and support individuals navigating their career journeys. Some of her engagements include the Myriad Genetics Women’s Leadership Alliance, the Women Who Code Salt Lake City Chapter, and Google #IamRemarkable workshop facilitator. Martyna also launched BioBytes, a Salt Lake City-based monthly tech meetup bringing together engineers, developers and healthcare leaders. BioBytes provides a collaborative environment to discuss the intersection of healthcare, technology and data analytics, and the best ways to support healthcare partners and improve healthcare outcomes.
In her spare time, Martyna enjoys a variety of hobbies including reading, skiing and trail running. She has completed three Cirque Series – the premiere mountain running series – and will be participating in her fourth later this year. She and her husband, Mark, have two sons, Marley and Marvin – both named after musicians, Bob Marley and Marvin Gaye.
