Now Accepting 2017 Nominations!
Nominations for the 10th Annual Women Tech Awards will be open May 1-31. We need your help nominating and recognizing all of the great talent in the tech industry. Nomination is really easy, we just need you to tell us, at a minimum, name, email, company and title.
The Women Tech Awards has honored over 150 women, the award platform recognizes technology-focused women who are driving innovation, influencing technology companies, and are passionate about the community. Nominees should have ties to Utah, but are not required to be a Utah resident. Finalists and Award Recipients will be honored in September at the Women Tech Awards Luncheon.
Nominations must be submitted by May 31, 2017
University Student Nominations
The type of students we are seeking to recognize are sophomore or junior students (as of August 2017) who are doing amazing things, especially service and outreach oriented activities. Students should currently be in STEM, progressing in STEM and have the ability to do wonderful things but maybe not quite fully committed to STEM or struggling to achieve their STEM dream due to hardships or lack of confidence. In other words, we are looking for someone with potential and this scholarship will give them the push they need to be successful STEM women.
Process: Submit a nomination packet to [email protected] no later than June 12, 2017 which includes:
1. Email/letter of recognition for a sophomore or junior female student which indicates why you are nominating this student. Include information about their service and outreach oriented activities as well as any personal hardships or experiences that they may have had. Tell us about this student and how this award will help them continue down the pathway of STEM.
2. Student resume/LinkedIn profile which includes work experience, educational experience, outreach activities and expected graduation date.
We will review the information and select up to 3 students in total for a face-to-face interview. These finalist students will be invited to the Women Tech Finalist Interviews in late summer with the rest of the professional nominations which gives them a great opportunity to meet established career professionals and expand their network. Up to 3 finalist students will then be recognized at the Women Tech Awards Luncheon in September 2017 where one student will be selected at the luncheon for the Student STEM Rising Star Award and scholarship.
