Kat Judd
Kat Judd is a people-first leader who leverages her unique legal expertise to significantly advance people operations strategies and best practices in the tech industry while sustaining Lucid Software’s growth and culture across the globe.
Beginning her career as a federal judicial law clerk, Kat spent nearly a decade as a management-side employment lawyer at Clyde Snow. Her experience defending private employers in employment-related litigation and advising companies in all human resource matters has made her an invaluable resource for both Lucid and the tech community in navigating employee operations.
In 2017, Kat made the jump to tech, joining Lucid to lead the People and Culture department. As Chief People Officer, Kat has scaled Lucid’s people operations globally and through various growth phases, building a robust department with teams dedicated to talent acquisition, benefits, workplace experience, employee relations, and learning and development. Across these teams, Kat has led and implemented hybrid onboarding, equitable compensation practices, and executive-driven diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Her efforts have ensured Lucid remains compliant while also providing employees with the resources they need to succeed, creating a truly inclusive and collaborative workplace. Under Kat’s leadership, Lucid has received numerous awards for its culture and commitment to diversity, including being named to the Women Tech Council Shatter List for seven consecutive years and a Fortune Best Workplace in Technology and for Women.
Kat is also a passionate advocate for women in tech, actively mentoring individuals at Lucid and across the industry. She is actively engaged with the Utah Silicon Slopes community, serving on the advisory board for the Women Tech Council and supporting efforts like SheTech and Equality Utah. Kat’s blend of legal acumen, strategic vision, and compassionate leadership makes her an invaluable asset to Lucid Software and a prominent figure in the tech community.
